Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Thank you to our sponsors!

Throughout Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency is coordinating several activities to raise awareness about domestic violence, and to expand resources available in our community to help impacted survivors. We are currently seeking sponsors for these activities and to support delivery of Domestic Violence Services in Cayuga County. If your business or organization would like to sponsor these efforts, please download our Sponsor Registration Form for more information! Cash, check, credit card or online payment via the link below is acceptable.

Domestic Violence Awareness Training, 10/16 & 10/17

The Agency will host a 2 day local training by Lundy Bancroft for criminal justice partners, service providers and interested public at large; over 200 professionals are expected to attend. Lundy Bancroft is a nationally recognized expert with over 25 years experience in the fields of abuse, trauma, and recovery. Download training materials and register today! Wednesday Morning Roundtable, 10/17 at 8 am

We are excited to partner with Wednesday Morning Roundtable (WMR) and Lundy Bancroft to engage upwards of 70 community leaders on the dynamics of domestic violence and services available locally including our new Risk Reduction Enhanced Response pilot program!

Wear Purple Day, 10/18 at 12 pm

On October 18, the Agency will host its 9th Annual Wear Purple Day Rally on the steps of the Cayuga County Courthouse at noon. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple and gather to hear brief remarks about the impact of domestic violence in our community.

This October, let’s join together to support the many survivors of domestic violence in our community. By shining a light on domestic violence, we can illuminate the path to safety and support for those who are living in danger and fear. If you are concerned about your safety, or are worried about a friend or family member, CSCAA's Domestic Violence Services Department offers a confidential 24-hour hotline you can call anytime to receive information, emotional support, and emergency help: 315-255-6221.
