HUD Case Manager

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a HUD Case Manager in our Emergency Services Rapid Re-Housing program. The HUD Case Manager will provide trauma informed case management services to homeless families.

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required with a minimum of two years prior case management experience working with families in crisis.  Demonstrated experience in working with the homeless or low income individuals and families.  Prior experience and understanding of causes of homelessness and experience working with landlords.  Must also have experience in crisis prevention and intervention services.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $15.38/hour, based on 40 hrs/week. Excellent benefits package.

Health Care Navigator

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Health Care Navigator for the NYS Health Benefit Exchange in Cayuga County. The Health Care Navigator provides outreach, enrollment, and retention services to families and individuals eligible for government sponsored insurance programs.   The HCN is responsible to coordinate outreach and enrollment efforts by working collaboratively with other staff, member clinics and community based organizations. 

High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of HCN experience, or an Associates’ degree in related healthcare field with experience in benefits administration and experience in the health care and/or insurance industry preferred.  Knowledge of eligibility requirements and application process of all government sponsored health insurance programs. Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

This position is a full-time, non-exempt, 35 hr/wk position with a pay rate of $15.47/hr.   Excellent benefits package.

Nutrition Worker - part-time

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a part-time Nutrition Worker in our Early Childhood Program. The Nutrition Worker helps in the daily food preparation, serving, and maintenance of the kitchen.

Must have a High School Diploma/GED with experience cooking for large groups.  Serv Safe Certificate preferred.  Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a part-time position, 25 hrs/wk, 52 wks/yr, with a pay rate of $10.69/hr.

Medicaid Transportation Dispatcher/Scheduler

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Medicaid Transportation Dispatcher/Scheduler.  The Dispatcher/Scheduler is responsible to coordinate Medicaid client transportation to and from medical care and treatment in Cayuga and Seneca counties. Establishes priorities and schedules rides in a manner consistent with customer service goals.

A High School Diploma/GED required; Associates degree in Office Technology or related field preferred with at least one year experience with data entry.  Knowledge of Cayuga County and City of Auburn geography preferred.  Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time position. The hourly rate of pay is $13.00/hr.  Excellent benefits package.

Assistant Teacher

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Teacher for their Early Childhood Program. The Assistant Teacher helps in providing high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents, and aids in classroom leadership.

Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or a higher degree in a related field is required.  Reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license is required.

Classroom Aide

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Aide in the Early Childhood Program. The Classroom Aide assists in providing high quality and comprehensive early child development service inclusive of children with special needs.

Child Development Associates credential (CDA) is preferred; or a High School Diploma/GED and enrolled in a program leading to a Child Development Associates credential to be completed within two years; or be enrolled in a program leading to an Associate’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities. Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 10-month position. The hourly rate of pay is $10.69/hr, 40 hrs/week, 43 wks/year.  Excellent benefits package.

Handyman

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Handyman. The Handyman is responsible for minor repairs and assisting with maintenance of Agency buildings and grounds.

High School Diploma/GED with 1-3 years experience in building/grounds maintenance and minor repair.  Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools to perform maintenance work.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Early Childhood Family Worker - Seward School

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency is seeking a Family Worker in our Early Childhood program. The Family Worker is the liaison between parents and the Head Start program as well as between community resources and the family.

Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred. Must have at least two years experience in community work either as a volunteer or paid employee. Must enroll in and complete a Family Service Credentialing Program such as the Family Development Credential program or Head Start Family Service Credential program. Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

Domestic Violence/CPS Advocate

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an CPS Advocate in our Domestic Violence Program. The Domestic Violence Advocate provides direct services to victims of domestic violence and their children. Serves as a liaison between victims of domestic violence and law enforcement, the courts, social services, and other service providers.

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field required. Family Development Credential is desired. One year experience working in human services or with victims of domestic violence is preferred.

3PK Teacher

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a 3PK Teacher for their Early Childhood Program in Auburn. The 3PK Teacher provides high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children age 3 and parents as well as classroom leadership in a UPK or Head Start/UPK class.  Must have an ability to plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school. 

Must possess a NYS Professional Certification B-2nd inclusive of certification at the pre-kindergarten/nursery level.  This is a full-time position that follows the Head Start School Calendar. Reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license is required. 

The rate of pay is $18.51/hr.  Scheduled hours are 35 hr/wk, 45 wks/yr.  Excellent benefits package.
